The service
appsgit is a free directory of open-source software that you can host yourself. We describe apps, show public data from GitHub and publish deploy guides. We do not develop, distribute or support the listed apps; each one belongs to its own authors and is covered by its own license.
Listings and GitHub data
Statistics such as stars, forks, issues, commits and releases come from the GitHub API and are refreshed regularly, but they may be out of date or incomplete. App names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners. GitHub is a trademark of GitHub, Inc., and appsgit is not affiliated with or endorsed by GitHub. If you maintain a listed project and want a correction or removal, contact us.
Deploy guides
Guides are provided as general instructions. Running software on your own server is your responsibility: review commands before you run them, keep backups, and follow each project's official documentation and security advice.
Affiliate links and sponsorship
Some links to hosting providers are affiliate links. If you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Sponsored and featured placements are always labelled and do not change organic rankings. Sponsorship terms (price, period and placement) are agreed in writing before a placement goes live.
Your submissions
When you submit an app or send a message, you confirm the information is accurate and that you may share it. We may edit descriptions for clarity and we decide which apps to list. Do not use our forms to send spam, malware or unlawful content.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt the site, bypass rate limits, or scrape it in a way that degrades service for others. Using our public data with attribution and a link back to appsgit is welcome.
No warranty and limitation of liability
appsgit is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, the listed software, third-party services or deploy guides.
Changes
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the new terms. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.
