Corrections
If a listing has a wrong category, licence, description or fact, email us with the page URL and what should change. A link to a source (your README, a release note, a licence file) helps. We aim to fix confirmed errors within 7 days.
Removing or changing your project's listing
If you maintain a listed project and want its listing changed or removed, email us from an address we can connect to the project (for example one listed in the repository), or open an issue in the repository that mentions the request, and include:
- the appsgit page URL;
- the repository URL and your role in the project;
- what you want changed, or that you want the listing removed.
We act on verified requests within 7 days and keep the project out of later data refreshes. Removing a listing from appsgit does not remove it from upstream lists such as awesome-selfhosted, which have their own processes.
Copyright notices (DMCA)
If you believe content on appsgit infringes your copyright, send a written notice to info@appsgit.com with the subject "Copyright notice". Following 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), it should include:
- your physical or electronic signature (a typed full name is fine);
- the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
- the exact appsgit URL(s) of the material, with enough detail for us to find it;
- your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
When a notice is complete, we remove or disable the material, usually within 3 business days, and tell the person who submitted it if it came from our submission form. Knowingly false notices can create legal liability (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)), so please check before you send one. We may forward a copy of the notice to the affected party.
Counter-notices
If material you provided was removed and you believe that was a mistake, send a counter-notice to info@appsgit.com with:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which appsgit may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
We forward valid counter-notices to the original sender and may restore the material after 10 to 14 business days unless they tell us they have filed a court action.
