About the guides

Still curious? Email info@appsgit.com.

What do I need before following a deploy guide?

A Linux server with Docker Engine and Docker Compose v2, SSH access, and optionally a domain name for HTTPS. A VPS with 1 to 2 GB of RAM handles most apps; photo and AI apps need 4 GB or more. Each guide lists its exact requirements at the top.

Do the guides cover HTTPS and backups?

Yes. Every guide shows how to put the app behind a reverse proxy with an automatic TLS certificate, where its data lives on disk, and how to back it up and upgrade safely without losing anything.

How often are the guides updated?

Guides are checked against each project's official documentation and updated when an install method changes. The last-updated date is shown on every guide.

Has appsgit tested every Compose file?

Not yet. Each guide has a status box at the top. It says either "Tested by appsgit" with the date of a recorded local Docker Compose run, or "From upstream docs" with the date the official documentation was last checked, plus a link to that source.
