Add this skill

Claude

Claude Code loads skills from ~/.claude/skills/ (all projects) or .claude/skills/ (one project):

git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/dzhng/skills.git
cp -r skills/skills/visual/compare-screenshots ~/.claude/skills/compare-screenshots # personal, or .claude/skills in a project

In the Claude apps, zip the compare-screenshots folder and upload it under Customize > Skills > + > Upload a skill (code execution must be on).

ChatGPT / Codex

Codex reads skills from .agents/skills/ in a repo or ~/.agents/skills/ for every project:

git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/dzhng/skills.git
cp -r skills/skills/visual/compare-screenshots .agents/skills/compare-screenshots # repo; ~/.agents/skills for all projects

Standalone skills also load in the ChatGPT desktop app.

Cursor

Cursor loads skills from .cursor/skills/ (or ~/.cursor/skills/) and also reads .claude/skills/:

git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/dzhng/skills.git
cp -r skills/skills/visual/compare-screenshots .cursor/skills/compare-screenshots # project; ~/.cursor/skills for all projects

What this skill does

Compare screenshots against the intended design, distinguishing approved references from historical baselines. Use for iterative implementation matching, before/after visual review, objective image telemetry, or checking a lone capture for flat, empty, or badly framed content. Judge images against the intended result. A user-approved design is the target; a historical baseline is only an earlier attempt and may be wrong. Metrics locate differences, never decide correctness.

When it triggers

  • Use for iterative implementation matching, before/after visual review, objective image telemetry, or checking a lone capture for flat, empty, or badly framed content.
