Agents

Agents is an agent skill (a SKILL.md file) from butterbase-ai/butterbase-skills. Agents load it when designing, deploying, or debugging a Butterbase Agent (declarative LLM/tool graph), registering an MCP server for tool use, or wiring access controls and rate limits. It works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Gemini CLI and has 534 GitHub stars.

Add this skill

Claude

This repository is a Claude Code plugin marketplace. In Claude Code:

/plugin marketplace add butterbase-ai/butterbase-skills
/plugin install butterbase-skills@butterbase-skills

In the Claude apps, zip the agents folder and upload it under Customize > Skills > + > Upload a skill (code execution must be on).

ChatGPT / Codex

Codex reads skills from .agents/skills/ in a repo or ~/.agents/skills/ for every project:

git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/butterbase-ai/butterbase-skills.git
cp -r butterbase-skills/skills/agents .agents/skills/agents # repo; ~/.agents/skills for all projects

Standalone skills also load in the ChatGPT desktop app.

Cursor

Cursor loads skills from .cursor/skills/ (or ~/.cursor/skills/) and also reads .claude/skills/:

git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/butterbase-ai/butterbase-skills.git
cp -r butterbase-skills/skills/agents .cursor/skills/agents # project; ~/.cursor/skills for all projects

What this skill does

Use when designing, deploying, or debugging a Butterbase Agent (declarative LLM/tool graph), registering an MCP server for tool use, or wiring access controls and rate limits. Agents are first-class app resources defined by a graphspec and invoked over /v1//agents//runs. A Butterbase agent is a declarative graph of LLM and tool nodes — not a free-running chat loop. The runtime traverses the graph, calls tools (builtin / MCP / function), and resolves the end node's outputtemplate.

When it triggers
