# NoMoreBackground (open-source utility app)

> NoMoreBackground is a free, open-source utility app for Android and iOS. Control your Android apps. It has 361 GitHub stars and is released under the GPL-3.0-only license, and you can install it from F-Droid.

A tool to manage which Android apps can run in the background using adb, Shizuku, or root. You probably don't need some random takeaway app doing anything in the background. And maybe you don't want that mobile game wasting your data when you're not using it.
