# Oh My Cassette (MCP server)

> Oh My Cassette is an MCP server that adds developer tools to AI assistants such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code and Cursor. Video editing through the Cassette agent: import media, edit by chat turn, read the timeline, export. It has 118 GitHub stars, is released under the MIT license and runs locally with uvx oh-my-cassette.

Edit video by talking to the Cassette agent from Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode or Hermes. A small MCP bridge on PyPI. The editing tools come from the Cassette MCP service, so they stay current without a plugin update.

## Environment variables

- `CASSETTE_MCP_URL`: Optional explicit target override; normally use the target saved by oh-my-cassette login.
- `CASSETTE_AUTH_TOKEN` (secret): Advanced compatibility override. Normally use oh-my-cassette login and the operating-system keyring.
- `CASSETTE_FFMPEG`: Path to ffmpeg, used to prepare local video before upload (default: from PATH)
