# Knowl (MCP server)

> Knowl is an MCP server that adds database tools to AI assistants such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code and Cursor. Persistent memory for Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. It has 122 GitHub stars, is released under the Apache-2.0 license and runs locally with npx -y @dat999zx/knowl.
