# Tizonia Openmax Il (open-source media player)

> Tizonia Openmax Il is a free, open-source media player for Linux. Command-line cloud music player for Linux with support for Spotify, Google Play Music, YouTube, SoundCloud, TuneIn, iHeartRadio, Plex servers and Chromecast devices. It has 1,740 GitHub stars and is released under the LGPL-3.0 license.

Revival in progress: Tizonia is being revived for a new v1 release targeting Ubuntu 24.04 amd64. During this work, legacy installation instructions and some streaming-service documentation may be stale. Follow the v1 roadmap issues for current status. Autonomous coding agents should also read CONTRIBUTING-agents.md.
